SQ Laboratories can’t give E.R. Ejercito justifications why the prints are delayed whereas they promised E.R. that it all be done by December 23.

It is very wrong that they prioritized the bigger productions that entered the MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) 2011, if you promised someone a deadline go meet that deadline.

Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story is a entry along with other bigger productions like Panday 2, Enteng ng Ina mo, and House Husband.

According to Yahoo! News (http://ph.omg.yahoo.com/news/e-r–ejercito-slams-delayed-release-of-%E2%80%98asiong%E2%80%99-prints.html)

“We contracted SQ Laboratories to be the supplier for the prints. We both agreed to have the prints ready by December 23 in time for logistics of the materials for the December 25, 2011, which is the first day of MMFF screening. However, due to their load with other 4 more festival entries, we were the least priority and last to be printed. To my dismay, the laboratory misinformed us about the completion of the prints, and the last minute transfer of laboratory was necessary to produce as many prints as possible. Unfortunately, despite the delivery of the prints to the theaters, the cinemas have already replaced our theater with another movie. This is already beyond our control.”

Meanwhile, when contacted on the phone, SQ Laboratories Business Development Manager Dennis Silvestre told Yahoo! Philippines OMG! that Santos was out of town with his family.

Ouch I say…

I know issues like this wouldn’t be given much attention to the masses… even these MMFF entries will be converted to CD/DVD’s soon. Pirated copies will be out faster though, to hell with you pirates.
