YouTube’s new feature is a service that tells people which videos their friends are watching. It is now under test version and is called “YouTube RealTime”. It let’s users know when friends are online, what they are viewing (currently and past) and when they did comment on or upload new videos. YouTube product manager Ryan Junee stated.

From YouTube’s official blog, Ryan Junee described RealTime as “a new and fun way of discovering what your friends are doing on YouTube.” Ryan Junee there will be only first 100 volunteers to try it out.

“Please keep in mind that you will need to have friends on YouTube for this to work — the more you have, the richer the experience, so be sure you accept friend invites and actively manage the list,” Junee wrote.
