Bagyong Ondoy not only sunk vehicles, houses but the whole Metro Manila… literally…
I just got back from the river’s edge 5 minutes ago. A 10-15 feet height differential between the Marikina River and the embankment has now been reduced to the point that water is splashing against the high-rises of Eastwood, Metro Manila. A security guard for this sealed off area approaches me and covers me with his umbrella while I snap pictures from my phone. “Where are the police or firemen?” I asked. He first points at a speck in the middle of the river 300-400 meters out to my right. “That was a woman with her 2 year old infant clinging on to her. She passed through here in the middle of the river – waving at us for help. There was nothing we could do – she had passed though within 5 seconds. We’ve been seeing other people washed away.” We watched helplessly at the 20+ people 200 meters away that are now sitting on top of their corrugated roof-tops as the river rages beneath them on their submerged homes… waiting for emergency personnel yet to come.
SUV’s and vans were clearly no match against a rampaging torrent.
Taken the morning (7am) after Typhoon Ondoy hits Metro Manila. Ondoy dumped 16 inches of rain in 9 hours, the most on record to hit Manila since 1967 (more rain than Katrina). Video shot in General Segundo Street, Heroes Hills, Quezon City.

“Believe me when I say this is going to be his (Pacquiao) toughest fight ever,” he said.
Directly from Manny Pacquiao’s coach, Roach anticipate a heavy fight on Nov. 14 at MGM Grand. He even expects the fight of Pacquiao with Cotto will last 12 rounds.
Roach is also preparing the “pacman” how to handle Miguel Cotto’s left hook. The wildcard team will be very busy for two months from now on.
This is one thing I like about Coach Roach, humble. I have never seen this way of attitude w/ pacman’s last opponent’s coach Mayweather Sr. I have watched some of Cotto’s fight, and one thing is certain that I want Pacquiao to evade and that’s is the ball crusher. Lol!
You see, Cotto loves to punch using hooks. An in-boxer so close, as he tries to aim for you belly. He’ll mistakenly hits your “nuts”.
After the fight of Floyd Mayweather and Juan Manuel Marquez, another boxing match will be greatly anticipated, the Puerto Rican welterweight champ Miguel Cotto will be fighting Manny Pacquiao on November 14 at MGM Grand Las Vegas.
But even before the match there a lot of speculations, talks and gossips going on if Manny Pacquiao will be fighting Floyd Mayweather (if he wins) or will Floyd Mayweather will be taking Shane “Sugar” Mosley.
But before all of that, there is one thing that really bothers me. Hopefully, either Manny or Floyd will take this to consideration. Take this match names/titles for example…
Money Versus Manny: Who will be the most greedy? Toinks!
Meanwhile enjoy this Miguel Cotto Boxing Highlights…
Well, the news is true.
After Polly Berendes’ son Henry was born at 9:09 pm, on 9-09-09, weighing 9 pounds, 9 ounces, Doctors and nurses are convinced he’s lucky, while mom says her new son is a blessing. WEAU’s Ray Ogren reports.
Kinda bizarre, but cute. This kid will have something to brag about when he steps in pre-school.

Mwanza Flat Headed Agama lizard, a native lizard in Africa which have the same colors as one of our favorite heroes “Spider-Man”. Now my question is, which of the two are first to have that blend of colors… “publicly”…
Actually the real news here is that these wonderful lizards are sold out and I’m sure the next talk is “they”, the Mwanza lizards being endangered species.
Well, endangered or not.. I’m sure these blend of colors aren’t just for spidey. What can you say o` superman?
