Ilagan, Philippines Region 2 will be having a Jobpalooza for the commemoration of the Labor Day tomorrow May 1, 2009.  Thousands of unemployed in region 2 will be more than lucky enough because the Department of Labor and Employment or DOLE, in partnership with duly regisered recruitment agencies will be conducting simultaneous job interviews tomorrow on Labor Day.

“Tayo na, Trabaho na” is part of the goverment’s Comprehensive Livelihood and Emergency Employment Assistance or CLEEP. DOLE officials have announced that local and foreign recruitment agencies will be in Cauayan City. Of course, you need to pass their qualifications to be hired. So Isabela residents will be having many chances of employment here and abroad.

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority or TESDA, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration or OWWA, Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA, also the Professional Regulation Commission or PRC have joined forces and will be cooperating with DOLE to help with the applications to be processed accurately, in conformity of jobseeker’s skills

Cagayan provincial and labor officials will also be opening employment booths in Tuguegarao City to help jobseekers in the said province.

80,000 job hunters nationwide are expected/estimated by DOLE to be employed this year.

So be advised to prepare your application letters, resumes, diplomas and transcrip of records. For those who are aiming to work in abroad, bring your passports and school credentials.

This is a great deal, really. This will help our economy, and lessen the bystanders and bums

But of course, to be employed will only depend on your will, determination and skills.

US officials don’t want the term swine flu for the current epidemic outbreak because people are confused thinking that they could catch it from eating pork meat. This is very understandable as many people “literaly” takes things.. well… literaly.

Now if it’s also a part of bird virus, should it be called flying swine flu? C’mon think of it, it had already travelled thousands, (or even millions) of miles away from Mexicon to infect people all over the world.

Rodolfo Noel “Jun” Lozada Jr. was arrested yesterday April 29, 2009 by members of the MPD (Manila Police District). The warrant was served a day after it was issued by the Manila Metropolitan Trial Court.

Former presidents, Mrs. Corazon “Cory” Aguino and Mr. Joseph Estrada was said to be saddened by the idea of Lozada was arrested for telling the truth. However, in the eyes of the law nothing is true until it is proven in court. But there are already too much anomaly revealed when Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was elected president as far as I can remember.

I’m sure about Mrs. Aguino, but I don’t know about Estrada. He’s like rowing his boats on two river at the same time. One day he’s siding with President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo after he got his pardon, and now this?

Anyways, the man who reveals the controversial National Broadband Network (NBN) said that he accept the arrest warrant without qualms. He put his fate and trust that his lawyer will correct everything.

Those high government officials who are involved with the NBN deal were arrest yesterday also on charges of perjury.

Rodolfo Noel “Jun” Lozada Jr. was a government consultant, accompanied by supporters when he was arrested. He did not resist arrest when he was picked up by the lawmen from De la Salle Greenhills in San Juan City.

SPO4 Alfredo Valenzuela and SPO2 Pedro Flores, the arresting lawmen was said they had to wait for 20 minutes because Lozada will not emerge with his lawyer Jose Manuel Diokno. He was temporarily detained at the office of the Detective Jail Management Section.

Corazon Aguino commented “he was a victim of injustice”.

“I’m deeply saddened by the news that Mr. Jun Lozada has been placed under arrest on allegations of perjury. I shall pray for him that he may be delivered from harm and injustice.”

“I appeal to all freedom-loving Filipinos to support Mr. Jun Lozada in every way possible and to make it known loud and clear that he is not alone,” she said.

Estrada said that his arrest was obvious, and all political.

Now I wonder, how this will end? There is an old saying that the truth shall set you free, not the other way around. But we are living a world where power and greed combined. Those who are in position where they can manipulate the law, where there are already many scandals Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was involved yet with power and greed the outcome was manipulated.

World Health Organization is now on global alert with this new epidemic/plague/disease/virus that claimed lives in Mexico. There are already 600,000 anti-flu capsules by our Philippine officials that are ready as a prevention measure with this swine influenza.

It has been reported that already seven countries are infected with swine flu, and by means of infected airplane passengers it was able to spread across Mexican borders.

New Zealand, nearly 2,000 people are infected and there are already 152 deaths, a group of students and teachers that recently visited Mexico was suspected the source.

Reported countries infected with swine flu are Israel that have several cases, United States (fifty non-fatal), Canada (six), Spain (two) and Scotland (two).

Yesterday, European Union officials reported swine flu cases that are already in Czech, Denmark, Greece, Germany, Ireland, Italy in addition to Britain and Spain.

Visiting Forces Agreement or VFA has been a long issue since we can remember it. YouTube’s new feature is a service that tells people which videos their friends are watching. It is now under test version and is called “YouTube RealTime”. It let’s users know when friends are online, what they are viewing (currently and past) and when they did comment on or upload new videos. YouTube product manager Ryan Junee stated.

From YouTube’s official blog, Ryan Junee described RealTime as “a new and fun way of discovering what your friends are doing on YouTube.” Ryan Junee there will be only first 100 volunteers to try it out.

Senator Mar Roxas and ABS-CBN television news anchor Korina Sanchez confirmed the rumors last Saturday, April 25, 2009 about their engagement on national television.
