Today, 27th of March 2009 is the first day of Survivor Philippines 2009 Season 2 Audition at SM North Edsa. The next audition day will be on 28th of March 2009.

Last year, Survivor Philippines 2008 dominated the tv ratings. This year, will it be the same line-up of players as last year?

Will there will be another mischievous Marlon Carmen? Or will we see a much treacherous player?

We just hope another “Nanay Zita” in the game. We don’t want pissing ourselves off while watching “educated adults” who don’t even know how to cook rice. Sheesh!

Women bruised, pushed, assaulted, humiliated and human-rights once again violated today by the Manila Police, these are the women of the group “Gabriela”. While trying to push back hoping that they can get near the US Embassy, many got injured.

More will sure to come and will join the Anti-VFA.

Once again RP-US Visiting Forces Agreement or VFA is lurking again its way to our country. Militant umbrella group Bagong Alyansa Makabayan or “Bayan” marched to the US Embassy in Manila to oppose and scrap VFA.

A statement by BAYAN secretary, General Renato Reyes Jr. in their website www.bayan.ph,

“How can (US President Barack) Obama say there is change when the US continues to have virtual military bases in the Philippines and when Filipinos are treated as second-class citizens in their own country? How can we say there is change when a convicted American rapist is being kept by the US government outside the custody of the Philippine government?”

BAYAN also said that Filipino Americans in the US also joined the protest fro scrapping the VFA.

The rumor is true now that Bayani Agbayani made a public statement on the incident. He stated that he was settling the damage, well if you listen closely he was just pissed off by the acquintance of the owner of the damage car. Check out the video.

It was rumored recently that Bayani Agbayani, who was angry and drunk challenges a companion of a motorist to a fist fight at The Fort’s Pier One in Taguig City.

Manny Pacquiao already made a public apology to GMA Networks and Solar Sports, airing of his fight with Ricky Hatton still remains w/ GMA Channel 7 and Solar Sports.

Here’s the message of Manny:

“Ang inyo pong lingkod, si Manny Pacquiao, ay nais iparating sa lahat na matapos ang masusing pag-aaral at pagtimbang-timbang namin ng Solar Entertainment Corporation. Napatunayan na ang kontrata tungkol sa TV rights ng aking mga laban ay valid and binding, at hindi nilabag ninuman.

Dahil po dito ay taos-puso akong humihingi ng paumanhin, kung kayo man ay naguluhan kung saan ipapalabas ang aking parating na laban kay Ricky Hatton.

Ito po ay resulta lang ng hindi pagkakaintindihan sa pagitan ng Solar Entertainment Corporation at MP Promotions.

Sana ay maunawaan ng lahat, at umaasa po ako sa walang tigil niyong pagsuporta at dasal sa lahat ng aking laban.

Simula sa araw na ito ay nais kong mag-concentrate nang husto na lang sa aking training para sa aking darating na laban ngayong Mayo Dos.

On the other hand, Manny Pacquiao is sulking to ABS-CBN. He wonders why they (ABS-CBN) have to air the video of the agreement of Manny Pacquiao and ABS-CBN airing the Pacquiao-Hatton Fight this coming May 2, 2009.

Meanwhile, despite the earlier announcements and teaser plugs which were aired, ABS-CBN “respects” Manny’s decision.

Here’s the statement relayed by Bong Osorio, the corporate communications head of Channel 2:

“Manny Pacquiao approached ABS-CBN to be his media partner in airing his next fights. We thank you him for trusting us.”

Kuh Ledesma’s name has been quiet for a long time, but we are not expecting that her name will be tainted with another “pinoy scandal”.

Kuh Ledesma’s cook, Mrs. Jabellana, in Hacienda Isabella died in an fire accident. Julie Jabellana, the daughter of the cook accussed Kuh Ledesma for unfair labor practice.

The complaint, lodged before the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) in Calamba City, cites underpayment of salaries and wages, nonpayment of overtime pay, holiday and rest day pay, 13th month pay and SSS benefits.

Julie Jabellana, said that Kuh Ledesma is a “matapobre”. Well, it seems to be true when Kuh Ledesma said that she will not make a counter demand since Julie Jabellana’s family don’t have money to pay for an attorney.

The “matapobre” attitude must be the most debilitating mindset born of the colonial times.

Now that Julie Jabellana has gone public after March 19,  a radio program of Ogie Diaz, Fernan de Guzman, at MJ Felipe of DWIZ’s Wow! Ang Showbiz! revealing her feelings regards to Kuh Ledesma’s statements.

She said that Kuh Ledesma’s party didn’t appear in the hearing March 18.
